Project 86 recently announced a brand new "Christmas EP" (which apparently is not a "Christmas EP") for release on November 18th. The band will start taking preorders this week, and below are details on each preorder as well as a clarification about the EP from the band. As a side note, Project 86 has added Purple Door Festival 2009 to their list of upcoming shows. This will mark the first time the band will be returning to the festival since the infamous mud-slinging incident from several years ago! (10/24/08 UPDATE: "The date has been removed from their upcoming days but I have heard from a very reliable source from the PD team that they are still in fact going to be at Purple Door 09.)

The band had this to say about the new EP:
"We wanted to get people new, original music around the holidays. We were very happy with the cover of "This Time of Year" and used that as a springboard into new songs. This isn't a Christmas EP, though, that song is a cover. This is a collection of original material based on some Holiday themes, but with a bit more scope than that. There are some ideas here musically and spiritually that can apply to the whole year..."
